Erm, can people please stop with their obsession with every stinking thing Bobby V says? Yes he's a loud mouth and likes attention, but he hasn't really had a chance to manage yet. Why don't we wait at least a couple of months into the season before we call into question his parentage and ostracize him. Eh? Category: MLB Sox AdditionsJanuary 6, 2012 7:27 pm
I like the move for the relievers but can we get a right hand hitting outfielder with moderate power please. Category: MLB LOJLDecember 15, 2011 9:48 am
The Legend of Jed Lowrie has moved on to Houston. I like the deal for both teams as Lowrie was oft-injured and never going to be given the full time gig in Boston hence never really living up to the LOJL status. Sox get a good quality reliever who will be under club control until 2016 and helps keep payroll down. Brad Mills has said that Melancon could succeed in the AL East as a Closer but still not sure if he will be used as a set up guy or as a closer, and in circa 2009 the Yankees were hoping he could be the sucessor to Mo. PapelbonNovember 15, 2011 5:51 pm
While I am a big Papelbon fan and will miss him, he simply isn't worth $50 million over 4 years. The yearly contracts for him worked well. I am curious to see how the Phillies feel about the deal come years 3-4. In any event, let the rebuilding begin. The offense is still pretty much set. The pitching needs to be addressed big time, particulalry the pen. Category: MLB |
